Online Registration is CLOSED, please come by the Family Sports Center to register your child for Upward basketball.

 
 
Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry designed to promote community outreach, develop volunteer leadership, and share the love of Christ with children and their families, using something as simple as a basketball.

Vision Statement
Submitting to God’s authority, Upward desires to change generations and recognize that "Every Child is a Winner".

Purpose Statements
The purpose of Upward Sports Ministries is to fulfill God’s vision that He planned long ago by promoting:
  • Salvation - To share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone involved in an Upward ministry.
  • Character - To help every child grow as Jesus did – spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially.
  • Self-Esteem - To help every child grow in their understanding and enjoyment of sports.

Please Note:
  • Basketball is available for K-6th grade. 
  • Separate leagues for boys and girls.
  • One hour practice and game each week.
  • Equal playing time and everybody starts a game.
  • Individual Sign Ups Only! NO Group or Team Sign Ups!
Every player receives an Upward T-shirt, Reversible Mesh Jersey, Shorts, Upward Winner Magazine, Upward Basketball Car Magnet, Music CD, Individual Award after each practice and game, and an End of the Season Award.
 
1st-6th Grade Boys & Girls Division:

*Kindergarten will not have evaluations, but will host an instructional league.
 
 Upward Basketball Instructional League (Kindergarten)
  • Instructional League is available for those children enrolled in Kindergarten for 2011-12
  • Maximum number of participants is 60 (boys & girls)
  • Teams will be CoEd.
  • They will meet on Saturday mornings.
  • This will be a camp format with a major focus on learning the fundamentals of basketball.
  • Each day they will have skill development, drills, relays and eventually a controlled game.
  • The success of the Instructional league is based on 4 Parent Coaches per team.  Please Volunteer!!!
