Every foster parent knows how hard, yet rewarding it can be to care for a child with a difficult past,

and an uncertain future. In this poignant and insightful book, Christie honestly shares the reality of making

yourself vulnerable to the pain and indescribable delight of giving your heart away to a child.

Christie has spent more than two decades caring for Orphans right here in our backyard. She will be

discussing stories her book, and the calling of the church to care for the orphan.
