Carol received both her undergraduate and Master's Degrees from Oklahoma State University where she was on the Dean's and President's Honor rolls and graduated as one of the top ten seniors.  She has numerous post-graduate hours in Play Therapy from the University of North Texas where she was honored to train with Dr. Garry Landreth for five years in weekly supervision.  She has taught other professionals by presenting counseling techniques and theories at play therapy conferences in Georgia, New Hampshire, California and Texas.

For more than twenty years, "Mrs. Carol" has been helping children and their families in Collin County.  She has practiced counseling in the public schools, worked a grant in the Student Development Office of Collin County Community College and been in private practice in McKinney.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor.  She specializes in Play Therapy with children.  Carol is a graduate of Leadership McKinney.  She and her husband have lived in McKinney for 40 years, and have been members of FBC McKinney during this same time.  They have two grown children and five grandchildren.  "Grammie" delights in playing with her grandchildren and is always ready for the next opportunity.

Carol loves to walk and has been writing devotionals about object lessons found on her walks for more than two years now.  These devotionals are shared with friends and others who wish to be included.  Carol values her personal relationship with God and her relationship with her clients.  This combination helps her to facilitate the fullest possible therapeutic healing.
