What to ExpectWhen are your Sunday worship services?
We have a simplified two service schedule that consists of two "service" blocks - 9:00am and 10:30am. Bible Fellowship Groups (Sunday School) and Worship experience are offered at both times. You can find information about our Bible Fellowship Groups and a description of the different worship experiences at one of our Welcome Kiosks on campus.
Which service do I choose?
In an effort to impact as many people as possible we offer several different worship experiences. Most first time visitors come to the Worship Center (9:00am & 10:30am) because it is our largest venue. We encourage visitors to try all the venues and find the one that is right for you and your family. Descriptions, pictures and even audio samples are available by visiting our venue page. Most Sundays it is the same sermon preached in all venues, in Live Link the services is delivered via high quality video from the Worship Center. Dress?
Please dress in the way you feel most comfortable. Members of First wear anything from jeans to suits. Your clothing isn't important to God; your willing and open heart is. Come dressed comfortably, but come ready to experience the presence God! Childcare? There is Childcare available in our Children's Building at the south part of the campus. If you are dropping off children we recommend you use one of the visitor parking spots close to the Children's Building instead of parking near our Worship Center on Louisiana Street. This will help you drop off your children early and better navigate the campus without children in tow.
What about Sunday School?
Our Sunday School Program is called Bible Fellowship Groups or BFG's. You can find an updated listing of BFG's at any of the Welcome Kiosk on the campus. Classes are offered at both worship times and on Wednesday evenings. We also offer community groups which are small groups that meet in homes throughout our community on varying nights. A list of Community Groups is also available at the Welcome Kiosk. Where do I park?
We have designated guest parking in the very front of the building just off of Louisiana Street. Parking attendants will help you in finding your way to the Welcome Center. If you have children, you are invited to park next to our Children's Building located in the south parking area on the back of the campus because it is easier to enter the Children's building from there. FBC is a large church, so where do I go? Information kiosks are located throughout the campus, but you may choose to park in the guest parking and enter the doors closest to the steeple. Here you can receive assistance in finding your way to the Worship Center, Children's Building or other worship venues. The Connection is an information area located in between the main building and our Family Sports Center. Here you can find information on all activities and ministries associated with FBC. Greeters are stationed all along your journey to assist you with any questions you may have. I am a nursing mother; is there a place to feed my child?
There is a nursing mother's room in the Children's Building near the infant nursery rooms the service from our worship center is usually available on a screen in this room. There is also a love seat in the Ladies' Restroom just behind the Worship Center near the Choir Room. Can I hear/see the service before I visit?
The contemporary worship services from the Worship Center are placed out on or video player a day or so after the service takes place. These feature the entire service including the sermon. You can also download our iPhone app. Click here for media. |
