Derek grew up in McKinney and has witnessed first-hand the incredible growth both in the town and FBC.  At a young age, he dedicated his life to the Lord’s ministry, so he headed to OuachitaBaptistUniversity in Arkansas, and earned a degree in Biblical Studies.  Furthering his education, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and graduated with his Master’s of Christian Education in 2004.  When he’s not ministering at FBC, he’s spending time with his wonderful wife Kelly and their son Noah.
