Jeff loves the beach, the sunset, Carolina basketball, flip flops, kids, triathlons, his family, and Jesus. He believes the church Jesus envisioned was actually a revolution, not an institution. He understands why some people have had a hard time finding Jesus in a religion that bears His name. Jeff says he has one message (he just preaches it in a lot of different ways) – that’s the message that everyone can live forgiven.
The trajectory of his life was forever changed when Jeff gave his heart to Christ. Growing up in the church and being involved in Young Life and Campus Crusade helped him grow spiritually. He received a Masters in Theology from Southwestern Seminary and a Doctorate in Apologetics (a fancy word for answering tough questions – or better yet, he now thinks he knows what the questions are).
Jeff served as a youth minister in North Carolina and Texas and as a married adult minister, men’s minister, associate pastor, etc… and is now the pastor of what he calls “the coolest church in America.” He’s having a blast helping FBC McKinney become the church Christ envisioned.
Jeff’s greatest love on earth is his wife, Stacy, and without a doubt, his favorite thing to do is spend time with his twin daughters and his son (they make him laugh!). You might come close to running him over on the roads of CollinCounty as he trains for his next triathlon. He’s humbled by every opportunity he has to talk about His best friend, Jesus.
